The Cluster G SPOE office
(ProKids Inc.) often receives Assistive Technology (AT) equipment from families with children
that have special needs, as well as providers who return AT equipment
purchased by the state. These items can be loaned to First
Steps families to use in their home or the child's natural environment.
In order for a child to receive one of the AT items, the therapist or
service coordinator working with the child, will need to
speak to the contact person at the LPCC and make the necessary arrangements to reserve
and pick up the item. Once the child is finished with the
equipment, the therapist will need to return the equipment to the SPOE office for further use.
To find out what equipment
is currently available for loan, please contact Katarina Groves.
If an item is currently not available at the SPOE office, an email can
be sent out to providers in the cluster to inquire whether they have the
necessary item available for the provider to use with a family.
